We have all of these in common, though the only album by Pantera I really like is Cowboys from Hell. I don't hate their other stuff, but it doesn't really do anything for me.

Also, Sodom is pretty much just thrash metal, sometimes slightly blackened thrash metal. no death metal in their catalog.
