Meh, I think I've hit a point in my life where it's become pretty boring. How do you stay so bright and cheery Newgrounds?

I actually go outside quite frequently. Sad part is there's nothing to do here except for the library...or wegmans....

Step 1: Get cynical and bitter, while still clinging to some grains of the child within.
Step 2: Create every reason that would cause deep depression.
Step 3: Accept that life is shit and find that the only way to be happy is either apathy or finding joy in the little things.
Step 4: Chose one of the options in step 3.

People adept in this method, like me, can actually be extremely happy without any reason what so ever for being happy.

This also help you maintaining a healthy sceptic worldview.

I hit the monotony point a few years ago. Still there. It's an eternal loop!

Loops can be pretty cool though.

Be spontaneous do something new. Go get drunk and sleep with a fat chick. Go break a law. Get in a fight. Say fuck your job and take a trip to asia and live there for a few years. Do something you never would have thought of doing.

I stay positive thinking about what life has to offer. All you have to do is put in a little effort and you can achieve anything.

yea, every single thing in life is a loop, you can take away all the layers and be isolated and completely alone or you can piece all the layers together and make your life meaningful. I choose to do a moderation between both sometimes stripping my walls down and roaming aimlessly through the void and other times putting up all sorts of decorations.

I expect life to stop being boring when I become an adult and can go around exploring the world and whatnot but realistically, it probably won't change much.

Work really is the bringer of monotony. Most working weeks fall into exactly the same pattern due to sheer necessity- I get up, go to work, get home, eat, have a shower, got to bed. There is little time for much else.

I do try to do things at the weekend to keep things fresh, but again this depends on how much work I have to do. My standard weekend is spent in front of the TV watching sport and doing paperwork. Not exactly thrilling.

But I wouldn't say my life is monotonous because I use my vacation time well. We (my wife and I) always go away somewhere new/exciting when we have time off (for example I was in New York last week). This gives us something to look forward to all year round (next up is vineyards in France in the Summer, hopefully following the Tour de France). So even though my regular week can be dull, I'm never bored or depressed. Just always looking forward to the next break.

The fact that life gets boring really fast is the reason I have so many hobbies

If I can't do one, I've got 30 others to pick back up on

I felt like that for a long time and still do to some extent. It's all about effort, I guess. I've stopped eating crap and just changing up my life in little ways. Get off the Internet for a bit, visit a friends house for a while, ditch old habits. You'll feel better and be more comfortable with make changes from then on. Could just be depression though.
