Facebook sucks..

I and some other people who are reading this probably don't like that massive social networking site. Facebook is becoming terrible and terrible as the months pass by. For every ''college aged'' person on facebook it's usually a fake ass ugly person pretending to be some cute guy or girl by having a fake profile picture. I deleted my account as soon as I realized how shitty it really is.

Facebook messaging is just a simplified version of an e-mail, and private messaging already existed on other social networks.

Hopefully FB and Twitter will die out soon.

it's a way to keep up with friends that moved or went to a different school without having to know there number or email incase they change it for whatever reason or you never had it to begin with....so if you have no friends then yes...it sucks

I personally like Facebook.
If nothing else, it's a decent way for me to keep in contact with people who I otherwise don't have access to.
And the likes system exists as a database for my own preferences, so if I ever find something and need to record it somewhere for later access, I just like it on Facebook.

Works especially well with bands and anime.

Well of course most people wouldn't get suicidal about it closing down, but as much as I hate Facebook, it does make communicating with relatives and friends a good bit easier, and most people who use it do love it, so I wouldn't want that ruined because I hate it.

Facebook is great if you hate privacy and want everything you and your friends say to be known to the world. Facebook makes its profit almost entirely by selling your personal information. Even if your profile is private, that doesn't mean shit. I just don't see the point in Facebook-whoring.

I enjoy Facebook for a few reasons, mostly because it can keep me in touch with my relatives, now more than ever since I live in a different city than my father and brother, who I've spent most of my life with. For that reason alone I won't deactivate my account, although I planned on doing so when I moved.

Another reason I enjoy it is because it connects me with artists, mostly musicians. I can keep up to date with events that I might not otherwise hear of, and so on. So, that's another cool thing about it.

Besides that though, Facebook really does suck. Unless I'm at the computer, I really don't find myself checking up on it a lot. It runs in the background for me more than anything. If I'm out and about, riding the bus or sitting at the mall, I never feel tempted to check my Facebook app or anything like that, it's just lost it's value to me I suppose.

That, and I am pretty annoyed by getting messages on there lately, I'm trying to keep to myself a lot and it doesn't really allow that.
