Yeah we do, don't we? The most populous state in the union, and all the rest of the country can do, is focus on the bad stuff. Why can't they just ignore it like we Jerseyites do?
I really love the bumper stickers that say "Jersey Strong"... thanks to the worst taxes in the US, the highest cancer rate and the highest asshole-per-capita rate, it should be "Jersey Wrong". Unless you're making over 60K a year, staying here and paying outrageous prices doesn't make sense.
Maybe I'd be a little more sanguine about this, but the better friends I've made here, end up moving away, thanks to the cost of living.

Not really. Everywhere has its shitty parts. Jersey has nice neighborhoods, too. My dad lives in a nice part of Bergen County. An old friend of mine also lived in a very nice area before he moved away, but I don't remember the county. I think it was a bit farther out.
