So what are your thoughts about the new and upcoming Firefox OS and the already existing Android OS?
Android from Google, the money greedy company vs a non-profit Firefox OS?

I'll probably try Firefox OS out. Although something tells me many companies(App developers, mobile manufacturers) won't support that effort. Good thing Firefox will have a more programming friendly environment for devs to work on,but I also worry for the security it will provide.

It doesn't seem like there's much of a choice. FireFox, obviously. :P

Firefox OS is a Linux-based open source operating system for smartphones and tablet computers being developed by Mozilla. So I guess that is mostly the purpose of it. What I mean is I think it's just an experiment not Mozilla trying to become big and famous or trying to make money. But I could be wrong.

Clearly you've never seen a truly money-hungry company if you think Google is greedy.

i will wait and see what happens,
IF they make a good os, that is fast, reliable, customizable, and gives power to the user instead of what ... apple... does.. AND if it also does better then that of the ios's that are currently on the market, then i will switch without hesitation,
i like to be ahead of the bell curve for tech, and money is not an issue if something is reliably and proven to be better then the next thing in the line

I'd go for Firefox out of the two, but I don't think I could ever leave Windows Phone. Really gotten used to the beautiful UX. Nokia makes great hardware, too.

Windows Phone is doing great. Android is awesome, but still Google. Don't they have many issues regarding Privacy in de EU. Firefox is starting to notice that the money grabbing greedy companies needs to be stopped. Commercial banners and Ads will rule the internet. I think Firefox will be awesome, as they will really care more about the people, as it is and always will be non-profit. I will choose Firefox, because i refuse to be sold as a person and my identity being compromised by selling my data. I mean come on, i sent a mail from Gmail and they spam me with Ads, targeted. I can't even Youtube because i will get spammed with commercials all the fricking time. Search your own name in Google, it gets freaky, they know were u live, what u eat, what meds u take, and other shit....

I'm really excited to try Firefox OS. Obviously can't give my opinion on it, since it hasn't come out. But it looks interesting, that's for sure. Also Ubuntu's Tablet OS looks neat

Security and privacy has always been a high priority for Mozilla, I'm sure they'll follow that tradition in the iOS

I am so fucking tired of Firefox users saying that security and privacy is better than all the other browsers, what a fucking lie, every website you go on puts your IP in a logfile, thats privacy? I bet I can link you to 100+ pages that have viruses on them that Chrome will block but Firefox will just die.

Woah woah, calm down. I'm not saying Firefox is the superior browser in any way. However it is true that they strive to protect privacy. But firefox vs chrome is not the topic at hand, let's not derail this further.
