I have been trying for quite some time to get my laptop to boot from a windows disk but I keep getting a "NTLDR is missing" error- YES I googled it. Every time I put a disk in a still get the error.
Does anybody have an idea as to what I can do?
I would appreciate help with this.
Check your bios (press anything from DELETE to F2 to F12 while your computer is showing the manufacturers logo) for a boot priority setting. It should be CD(or DVD) drive, and then the hard drive, not the other way around.
If it still isnt working, check to make sure the drive activity light turns on while you are using it. Also, check the disc.
If it STILL isnt working after that, go into the boot menu (press whatever you tried that didnt bring you into bios when the manufacturers logo is on) and manually select the CD or DVD drive. After that if it still isnt working, take it to a professioonal.
I know, NGers actually trying to be helpful, amirite?
