Wouldn't it be best to have EVERYONE animate every round? That way, the most points at the end total wins. More content and more of a challenge if you have everyone against each other every round.

This has been suggested before, and while it would make for a good contest, it wouldn't be a bracketed tournament any longer. One of the major draws of NATA is to see "who is better than who" when compared side by side. It's one of the reasons people enjoy the playoffs in major sports so much - guessing and seeing who beats who in each round. :)

I read about this previous year, and I also saw some animations for it, but still I wasn`t sure what it was. But looks like I am interested to join this. So there is no basic theme ?

Each round has a theme that is announced at the beginning of the round.
