By the way, my brother and I have been using Blades of Steel to simulate a lot of the playoff games. Edmonton represents Calgray, and New York represents Tampa Bay.

We've been right every time so far, except once WAY back in the playoffs.

I'll keep you updated on the games from now on.

mighty_potato, your knowledge of Hockey is good. Who is the player who has won the most Stanley Cups. I think it could be the Pocket Rocket, Henry Richard (11) If not, please enlighten me

I think Tampa Bay will raise the Holy Grail. Don't ask me why. even at 2-1 down, I still think they can do it.

Watch out for the Avs next Year

Root for Tampa, because if they win it, Dave Andrechuck might bring the Cup to your hometown. You can bask in the glory of the cup, firsthand!

Well, at least they did better than the Leafs.

*sniff*

though i am a VERY big leafs fan, the reason why the leafs failed was because of their lack of Canadian players.
-Ed Belfour = The only reason why the leafs lasted so long... guess what, hes CANADIAN!
all the other key players are swedish, russian, american... and what the hell! why not throw in a kazakhstani as well (antropov).

Actually, Tampa has 19 Canadian players, while Calgary has 15.

Since Khabiboulin is Russian, there's at least 20 players on a team.

Which means Calgary has no more than 75% Canadian players.

Dammit, I was fucking afraid this would happen THIS GAME IN PARTICULAR.

I took the cartridge out of the NES over the weekend, and I was afraid afterwards that I may have broken the magic playoffs simulation streak.

Maybe I did, or maybe I was just off my game today. I took a big loss after the last two games we simulated going into overtime.

Man at heart I am a Boston fan but Tampa has really pulled out a buncha stops this year to get to the Stanley Cup. However there are like 3 people in Florida who even know what hockey is. They think that stadium is just used for Football. So I am hoping Calgary wins it's been awhile scince it has been there. A very interesting series though.

Also, note the European influence, especially between the pipes. Sorry Canada, Europe carries a bit of swing, especially with the two team's styles of play (open, end to end. Truly a great finals so far)

Like JS Gigeure, last season to this season. Talk about hero to zero.

I would like to apologise to all Mighty Ducks fans. The reason that you played so badly this season was that everyone else played better than you. HA HA!!

Well there's at least 50, because of the Lightning players and staff. Other than that, I see your point

I'm cheering for the Flames for sure. They are the underdog and it's a Canadian city. I know Tampa has more Canadian players, and I like a lot of the players on that team. I'm not much of a fan of these southern teams down in places that never see ice except in their freezers.

Sports suck! It's kinda ok when you do them but sitting on a couch, eating chips and whatching them is for lazy fatasses and really dumb ppl who find some kind of intertainment in whatching jocks!

It was nothing really special. I think the best overtime goal in the playoffs was Game 6 of the Toronto/Philly series where Roenick scored top shelf to end the series. Although I was sad to see it happen, it was a really nice goal.
