Hello! I'm creating a new project about the evolution of a tree, and there's a scene where a cat/raccoon/thing sniffs around for the scent of something. I made a really rough thing of how I thought it might begin to look like. and I'd like some feedback on how it looks. Thanks!

so i'm guessing the 'thing' that comes out first is an exaggerated nose? rather than having it retract into the tree and having the cat emerge, it should stay where it is, then have the cat emerge springing into place where the nose would be.
