I need an oboe player for an orchestral recording. If anyone can play and record oboe, let me know! I kind of have a tight deadline here.
I have sheet music and everything ready. It's a very simple part, and very straight forward.
Let me know!
If you are interested and if you'd like to take a peek at the sheet music and the audio please PM me.

Oh man, let me know if you find one, been looking for one since pretty much, well... ever.
Also, I'd recommend to rather put this kind of request in The Instrument Request Thread, as we're trying to keep it alive. You've also got a handy list of people with their available talents and can contact them directly if you find one with what you're looking for.
One last thing, if you're ever looking for a clarinet/bass clarinet, flute or anything jazz-related, just send a PM my way and I'll make sure to find the right guy/gal!

Let me know if you need squeak sounds, I might know a beginner who can give you that "noveau" quality!!! :P
But yeah man, finding an oboe player who is good is a tricky business. I would recommend torturing some cats, the noise seems to attract them.

NE Conservatory, Boston Conservatory, and Berklee peeps are stuck without power or busy so I'm out of luck for some of my usual local players.
Beginner player might be acceptable? Care to forward some information if you feel they are up to it?

I was joking, bro. :P
Unless you are writing dark ambient with squeak effects, in which case any reed instrument would work fine...

Hahaha alright, well it's a traditional oboe part, so yeah. Thanks anyways. I knew I should've picked up a wind instrument when I was a kid >_<
