What movies/games/books/stories were hard for you to follow?

I remember Guy Ritchie's Snatch was really confusing.

Books I have to read in my Spanish Class. Didn't find out what they really were about until I looked up the summaries in english.

It is indeed a rather intricate storyline, although I found myself able to follow it just fine.

Snatch, on the other hand...

My favorite book :)
House Of Leaves
It wasn't hard to keep up though, just very complex and odd at times. The page's layouts can get weird and there are constant footnotes, and footnotes inside of footnotes. Some say it's a lame attempt at being diffrent but honestly if you read the book it fit's perfectly with the story. I recomend reading it

What comes to mind is Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Fahrenheit 451. The language the authors used is hard to follow. You have to read it over and over again to understand it. But the stories themselves are fantastic once they've been decoded.

I'm telling you it's pretty amazing. I read it 2 years ago and haven't gone a week without thinking of it.

I actually had very little trouble understanding the language of DJ and MH.

I DO have some trouble understanding the writings of H.P. Lovecraft. His language and writing style was unusual even for his time.

I just play the Kingdom Hearts games to see the Disney characters.

I don't even know what the plot is anymore.

I gotta be the one to say it? I love this movie, but it's extremely difficult to follow.

Unpopular opinion time:

The movie Brazil by Terry Gilliam. Nothing against Gilliam, but I think the movie is a steaming pile of shit. I cannot for the life of me understand why the movie has received any sort of praise. It's boring, confusing, bizarre, and unnecessary. Please tell me: What is the movie symbolizing in the dream sequence of the main character dressed as an angelic knight fighting a fat gigantic samurai? I'd like to know. That's just one part.

The entire movie makes no sense. Gilliam took 1984 and other dystopian ideas, mixed them together with fertilizer and then recorded it.

End rant. I felt like expressing my anger instead of critically analyzing the film and sounding less one-sided.

Maybe that was a bit harsh.

I don't know if it's really convoluted, but purposefully abstract. Like 2001, or some of David Lynch's films.

I dunno. I liked it. 12 Monkeys, Time Bandits, and the Adventures of Baron Munchausen are all better, though.

I thought 12 Monkeys was very good. Haven't seen the others though.

The Cure for Insomnia. It's the longest movie ever made, 87 hours. Kinda lost my trail of thought after the first day...
