I noticed the local gamestop stopped selling MMO cards in favor of flash games. I thought that was interesting.

Kong seems to have a better pitch for game dev's, if nothing else.

Both seem to syndicate elsewhere and have these new mobile publishing features that I know nothing about. XD

I joined both at the same time. I was active exclusively on Kongregate until about 2011. I have recently started coming here and absolutely love it. While the community is harsher here, I like it. Kongregate is the same old thing and has really changed none.

Kongregate hasn't been around for half as long as NG, doesn't have half as much as NG, and doesn't impress me half as much as NG. It's really just a community for games, nothing else.

Kongregate is better at flash gaming(although NG has some diamond games here that Kon can't even touch)
However, NG has a better forum and Art,Audio and Movie portal,which Kon lacks. Also NG has great and fun devs/admins.

I don't give a shit about any of that, what I will tell you is this.

Kongregate has better games, and they have better games becuase they offer games to be P2W style where you can buy their "game credits" for cash shop stuff. People eat that shit up like candy. Also it generally allows for bigger "Mmo" ish style games

NG does not offer that, so game devs choose not to use this site as a medium for their game. That is perfectly fine. I don't hold anything on NG for not allowing that.

Ng is older, different, and has a better, more developed forum community. Kongreate has a crappy forum system, that is mainly used by the mods of games to keep players updated on patches etc.

One thing I want fixed. I have my movies/games set to -NOT- auto play when I click to go to view that flash/games page. It seems there is an exploit allowing people to auto force start their shitty videos when I click on them and don't get an option asking me to play them.
