Good addition, guys! Unfortunately, while Games and Movies are back up, Art Portal submissions appear to be down... anybody else having this problem?

Awesome! But wait....isn't that what the little star is for?
This list is a lot longer. The little star will likely go away for the sake of streamlining nav elements. Most people never knew what it did anyway.
I am against this as I always check the little star. Unless it would fuck something up by keeping it there I don't see the point of removing it at all.

I use it quite often as well. I find it faster to use than going in and looking at the stuff under NG social....but thats just me.
You'll more than likely find people that use both and find one more useful than the other. Even though I find both incredibly useful in their own way.

Yes (I'm using Chrome) Clearing the cache doesn't seem to work either (nor re-installing chrome)

It's not a bad idea. I get the feeling it's something I'm not going to use very often but it's nice to have the option.

...and for Pete's sake, the Monthly voting thing for January is (or is not) available in your Account Settings thingy. You could win $100! Dunno why there isn't some kind of exclamation point or something on that button, but I'm sure someone, someday, will add that to the css or whatever.

PS: If this was already mentioned by another member here, sorry! Got stuff to blam, no time to lose.

Oh joy! Now I won't have to hunt down blogs to see if someone replied!

Is it gonna be backward compatible or is it starting fresh now? I don't see anything in there right now.

Yeah, it's a surprise how the site has gone this long without having notification feeds. However, it is better late than never and the staff have done a tremendous amount of work lately.

No, I know it's where it should be. Just needs a dashboard notification thing (like the number on the PM button) is all. I'd hate to think monthly voting gets overlooked (because Tom didn't mention it in this post). It's not too often members click the Account Setting button.
Also a countdown to when voting ends on that page would be helpful too, since it takes time to review the stuff we missed.
Thanks Jim, you've been a real trooper!

Exciting stuff! Will the sprucing include sub-categories or a filter so you can see just news posts or just art, etc? That wold be helpful.

Hopefully this isn't beating a dead horse but THESE FEEDS ARE AWESOME AND HELPFUL AND I LOVE THEM ALREADY.

Especially since I just submitted a song, it's better to see that there's a new review and not constantly have to navigate to the song page...

I think we're gonna default SOCIAL to your artist feed, so you would lose the in-page viewing but would have a single click to the complete feed from any page. We really just want to minimize the amount of info we throw at people, considering how much there is. Does the social link going to the feed sound good?

We plan to just have everyone involved get a PM when the monthly voting time begins. That SHOULD do a decent job at letting everyone know!

@EJR too

How about you throw all the recent notifications in the star, and not just an artist feed? So let's say User1 reviews User2's audio submission. When User2 clicks the star, he will see a list of notifcations come up with "Review by User1" (colour-coded as green since it's an audio review) at the top. If User2 clicks on that it'll take him to his respective song page. At the very bottom of the notifications list there's a 'More...' button that links to this page. Perhaps when someone gets a new notification you can write down a '1' near the star icon or just highlight it or something.

A bit like Facebook's notification system. If there's one thing Facebook does right, it's that, and in fact other sites like SoundCloud have adopted it too.

Yeah, that sounds great! I was going to suggest moving it down next to Fans if the goal was to minimize what was in that top most button/nav area... but not having to click to the fp to get to it would be ideal! (Unless you get more ad monies that way, in which case, leave it! lol)

That actually sounds really good considering all of the other buttons are not in-page. Keep up the great work guys, you're on a roll!

I've just realised I don't really get the forum feed. At the Flash forum, I made a post. 4ur replied to it. I replied to that reply, but the 4ur's reply was still in my feed. Sam replied to my second post, but then his reply to my post did not appear on my feed. I'm so confused!
