Feeds Up, Publishing Down!

UPDATE: Publishing is now fixed so you can publish games and movies! The other quirks in this post are also fixed. BUT NOW the Art Portal publishing is busted.

The cool news - we launched an expanded feed section yesterday! If you're logged in you can check out your entire artist feed, which is still pending some html sprucing for the artist news.

You also have feeds for blog replies and forum replies. Notifications of new replies will appear on the front page, right under the news in the top left! The in-feed blog reply is busted at the moment, sorry about that.

The review feeds are also now linked to from this new section. Review responses from the feed page are also busted at the moment, same bug.

If someone quotes you in the forum or refers to you with @username, it will go in your feed. In the blogs, you will be notified if the blog owner responds to your post or if someone else refers to you with @username as well.

The BIG SHOCKER is that game and movie publishing broke yesterday and we totally didn't notice it. This is now fixed.

Sorry for the bugs but that's the cost of progress sometimes.

Probably won't be coming for a while. Maybe never. Though some less pretty forums do have edit buttons from the start, I guess we'll just roll with it.

Like twitter, but not as limited. That's a pretty awesome addition.

Great news on the feed, too, I've been waiting for something like this a long time, specially for responding to reviews, the fact that it applies to all forms of commentary contribution is real neat. Hope the portal bug gets squashed soon.

You shouldn't show up in your own feed, otherwise it gets messy when you quote people who were quoting you or talking to you.

Really cool additions!

Not to sound like an ass kisser, but one of the things that really makes the newgrounds browsing experience enjoyable for me is the fact that the site is highly ergonomically designed. Since the redesign, i've always felt that the changes made were steps forward, not backward like on YouTube or other websites.

I have found this incredibly useful. Now I'll know when or if I get a reply from people I talk to instead of going on their blog post and F5ing it til I see if I get a response or just having it be dumb luck that I find out I got a reply.

This list is a lot longer. The little star will likely go away for the sake of streamlining nav elements. Most people never knew what it did anyway.
