Alan Rickman was very entertaining as the main villain in Die Hard. Heath Ledger's Joker was great, and I'm not like everyone else who just says that because he died. Also, Michael Myers from Halloween, (not the superhuman Michael Myers from the shitty sequels.) but the original Michael Myers is one of the best movie villains in movie history. The original idea for Michael Myers as an escaped mental patient stalking his victims while wearing that plain white mask was terrifying.
Late blooming is cool, because now I get to fuck all my enemies old girlfriends. So, in closing, suck my mutha fuckin dick yo.
Well I'm pretty sure "Alexander Anderson" could be considered a villain.
He's my favourite villain.

He is a good villain, this is a thread about great villains, why make an issue out of it?

Also, Dick Dastardly. For maintaining the Classic Villain Look.

He was the only actual interesting character in the Wacky Races imo, the others were complete stereotypes taken to the point where they were literally cardboard cut outs "oh look she loves being beautiful" "oh look he invents things and is smart" "oh look he is chivalrous and always giving to the pretty woman" But Dick Dastardly even though he was still a completely stereotypical villain actually had a good character with him constantly talking to the camera about his elaborate plans etc. it made him by far the most enjoyable character to see.
It was always amusing how Dick Dastardly could easily win every single race if he just went to the finishing line and stopped trying to sabotage the others, but that is what makes him more fun I guess.

I like Killer No. 2 from Bunraku. He's one of my favourites. A cold-hearted, smooth-talking murderer with a red hat and a deadly blade.

How many come backs did he make? Each time becoming more machine than man.

Snidely Whiplash also has that look.

That's not really stupid it's just incredibly random.

If he had some more back story he might be more interesting. There was sort of something but it wasn't strong enough and it seemed like he was being evil just for the sake of teh evilness

I actually find pretty cool the fact he has almost no backstory. It makes him kinda invincible, although he's a "normal" guy(by normal I mean he has no super powers)
Writing them as they come to mind.
. Hans Landa from Inglorious Bastards
. Bill 'The Butcher' Cutting from Gangs of New York
. Sauroman from LOTR
. The Joker from almost any Batman reincarnation
. The Riddler, same as Joker.
. Dutch from Red Dead Redemption (although more of an anti-villain)
. Tommy Vercetti GTA: Vice City (Villain protagonist)
. Patrick Bateman (Also villain protagonist)
. Gaston from Beauty and the Beast
. Frollo from Hunchback of Notre Dame
. Hannibal Lecter from Hannibal, Silence of Lambs and more.
. Darth Vader from Star Wars
. The Emperor also Star Wars
. Nurse Ratchet from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.
. HAL from 2001: A Space Odyssey
. Alex from A Clock Work Orange (Villain protagonist)
. Dimitri from GTA IV
Probably more that I can't think of.

Are we talking about The Joker from The Dark Knight, right? because The Joker from the comics has one of the best origin stories. And the origin of The Dark Knight's Joker is uncertain, because he told the dad story to the mobster and he told a totally different to Rachel (something about his wife).

He was evil for the sake of evilness, the famous quote "some men just wanna watch the world burn" was a great indicator of that.

I think Walt is more of a villain now, more than Gus ever was.

Because Christopher Lee is the only true bad ass.
Fun fact: During WW2 Christopher Lee worked as secret agent. Yes he's a real life James Bond.
Speculation: He might be a vampire.

That makes for a pretty flat character though. Kind of like Voldemort from Harry Potter.

More like antihero, but I agree. I just thought that Gus' story was more interesting.
