Best audio of the month/year

I've been wondering how best audio submissions of the month and best songs of the year are chosen. Does anyone know how it exactly works? Audio bot just picks up songs with most votes/views or what?

I've been looking into it and the only rational conclusion is that it is chosen through complete chaos

Look at the way the charts pick users, I might conclude it's all bot works. Probably view/vote ratio rating.

Does the featuring list on front page work the same?

As Buoy said, the Best of... lists are a mystery, we've all had our theories, but in the end it just looks like everything is totally random... I've had stuff be scored much, much higher of some of the stuff on that list, and still not be on there, I've had stuff with many more listens/downloads, and not be on there... It just doesn't make any sense. Only the admin's could tell us how it works at this point, and I don't think they'll share, because then people will abuse the system even more than they already do.

As for the front page, no, that is not run by a bot, the front page audio is handled by the Audio Mods.

Seriously though, if you think you have a track worthy of the front page, PM an audio mod, we're always looking for stuff that deserves more attention for the front page.

Hmm.. I think I would feel strange doing this. It's kind of like saying, "Hey, MY MUSICS IS AWESOME AND BETTER THAN ALL THE OTHER MUSICS" And while some of it might be pretty neat, I have a hard time self promoting. blargh

don't tell them to put a track on the front page because you think it's better than most. ask em to listen to it and they will make the choice :)
