Tattoo experts, help a brotha out

Aight dawg, I have been tweaking this design for a while and I'm 100% positive that this is what I want. The thing is, I have a limited amount of dollarses to spend ($900) and I have heard some larger tattoos can cost thousands.

Give me an estimate before I go into the parlor and look liek a fool.

-it's fairly simple, and there isn't much shading so I can't really discern a price

I'd go to an artist and have them do a rendition of that. I'd never get my own art on my body unless it was really good. You want something nice on your body, not just something you put together in a couple of day with clip art and google images.

I guess that's true. Usually if you want a specific design you print it out and get them to make a stencil but I'm saying if he talked to an artist he liked they could make something to get on his body.

This will depend on a number of factors. Some areas have ridiculously cheap tattoo artists that do amazing work, while other areas have ludicrously expensive artists that are ok at best. Color? Amount of detail? Shading? Amount of sessions? Complexity of certain aspects?

To be honest, it's not the coolest.
I know that's not what you're asking but trust me, tattoos are big decisions, get something that complements your skin tone and a design that rides the skin well. It's the only way a tattoo won't just look like a lame drawing that's on your skin forever!
I actually want to be a tattoo artist, I hang out with a couple old school biker tattooers and let me tell you even they say they wish they got better styled tattoos.
In my opinion, water color style looks beautiful and can still be masculine.
