Legalize it. At the very least, decriminalize it to the point where possession is a mear fine (like a speeding ticket).
Enforcing marijuana laws is a major waste of not only the polices' time, but also the courts. It's a drain on tax payers and it fills up jail cells with harmless, relativily innocent civilians who would better serve society outside of a cage.
Jail is for criminals, real criminals who infringe on the rights of others and threaten public safety. Not a college kid with a bag of weed in his pocket.
I think it's extreme to lock a living, supposably free, human being in a cage for having a weed in his pocket. That seems, to me, to be a bit extreme and unjust. The punishment no longer matches the crime and it's time for a reform.
