Holy shit these bitches are pretentious.
If you don't feel like clicking the article and skimming it, it's pretty much a bunch of random chicks saying what styles the wish would cease to exist.
A few to note:
"Neon" style furniture
Open concept housing
Chrome appliances and granite counter tops
Tv's over the mantle
Just ugh

Here I thought 2013 we'd have intelligent people by now, funny how the bar keeps dropping with every generation.

I never got "fashon." I just wear what I want and decorate the way I think looks nice.

I respect their ability to have an opinion, but to say you want the style to be gone completely and entirely is just ridiculous and pretentious.
I keep using that word, but it's the only thing that fits them.

I dunno, I know tons of seven year olds who are smarter than most high school students. I think the future looks great.

At least some people who replied to that article have generally better tastes.

I remember seeing alot of TV's that fit into an armoire, the point being I guess, was that it was more elegant to hide the TV from guests and make it look, there is not one in the room. I'm no ms. manners but I think the general concept is a little pretentious.

In 1998 the U.S.A was ranked 6th in the world for it's education standards. Now it's ranked 17th. Also this is a good read, if your interested. Now don't get me wrong I'm certainly not having a go at American people this is a global problem but you have to admit that's a hell of a big drop for a nation that prides itself on pretty much everything. You guys were topped by Finland, South Korea, New Zealand, Canada and even Australia just to name a few. It's the teaching itself that has gone down hill. You can't have good students without good teachers, that's basically all it boils down to.
Case in point. When my daughter was in Year 11, she had to write a 10 page story and when it got marked, it came back with numerous words (like 50 or so) circled as misspelled by her teacher. I read through the story and there was not one spelling error in the whole story. So I went to the school with my daughter and put in a serious complaint about the teacher involved to the headmaster and got her to read the story too and she was completely befuddled at the teachers ineptness and duly remarked the story with an A instead of the C- it had been given. The teacher involved left the school shortly after. One word that he circled stands out in my mind. The story was about Werewolves and he had circled that word every time it was used, citing it as wrong. According to him it's spelled Wearwolf. Seriously, WTF? Most 10 year olds can spell Werewolf.
TL;DR.
Most teachers are not suitable too teach todays youth.

it is also interesting to note that all of these are 'colorblind' studies that completely ignore cultural/social/ethnic factors
is it surprising that the top countries on that list tend to be more ethnically homogeneous? you tell me!

"Chalkboard overload"
I have never in my life met anyone who had a chalkboard in their home.
You look nice today.
This guy brutally sodomizes me.
Cereal is pretty cool. If you're cool you'll add me on Steam. Also, Letterboxd.
