i've gone to online meet ups before and they have usually been mixtures of 'hey this is cool' and 'oh my god i am so awkward let me perish immediately and be stricken from historical records'

It was kind of shitty. Everyone was pretty socially awkward and I had nothing in common with any of them. I look about 12 now so back then I was practically treated as an infant but in a nice way I guess. One of the animators was pretty cool. We went on this rollercoaster simulator thing together and RuberNinja was pretty awesome. I fanboyed pretty hard when I was into flash movies. And I can't forgot Luis. I got a pretty cool pic with him but I look like shit in it so I don't show it anymore.

I can blame a lot of ignoring me on my shyness but not all of it. I guess it was that type of atmosphere were if you're not super confident you're slowing down the party and people don't want to talk to someone like that. On top of that I was the only BBS reg, the rest were talented as fuck animators so my stickman hailed in comparison to their creations of pure amazement on paper. Probably the most awkward part of the night was when I had to leave being underage before the rest of the crew got crunk of on booze.

Looking back on it I say if people you know are going and you actually want to meet up with them then go and get there early. You gotta make buddies fast to not get exuded from the pack. If you see a whole bunch on names you don't know then either be prepared to be forceful when talking to peeps. It may not be the most fun I've ever had but it's better than the same old shit.
