Truancy: Legalize It

Anti truancy laws now before I get started I would like to say im out of school already and this is not some student complaining.
However with that said these laws are retarded why force a kid who has no intensions of learning in a school? This is just a waste of space and costs more money
Not to mention some schools are a waste of time because you have to fight all day in order to survive. Sort of like prison except you get released at 3 PM each day
money that can be used on someone who does WANT to attend if anyone.
another thing that really fucking fries me is they can send the parents to jail over this shit
yeah fucking right how does punishing the parents make the kid go to school kids can easily say fuck parents which happens on a daily basis.
In fact kids each day are coming up with innovative new ways to piss them off but this one is pretty low.
So what the fuck guys isnt anyone going to protest this shit? Or is our future generation going to be miserable thinking each day how life isnt worth living due to lousy ass school?

My sister almost got charged with truancy. Her daughter/ my niece had been transferred to a new school and missed 4 days in a row of class. so they sent two women who were social service employees to our house to question me about why she didn't attend school for the last couple of days. Although there hard asses when It comes to kids missing school. I do believe If children don't attend public schools then they should at least have house schooling so they wont be completely devoid of intelligence.

I ditched school last year because it was causing me too much stress. I was already clinically depressed to the point at where in that environment it was a massive struggle to get anything done or just conceal my nerves and sadness.

It had been like that for a while but I think it had reached it peak around that time. I started coming in later and later until I began to miss whole days and my parents just let me off. I still want to learn and go back to school but I couldn't in the state I was in anyway. I agree with you.

Yea I was on truancy and went to court at 15 years old ended up signing up for homeschooling and dropped out of that as you could apposed to the actual school.. it is ridiculous to be honest but we also can't have kids running the streets doing nothing at these times, that's a source for gang activity and other senseless acts.
