How to improve Adult Swim... First and foremost, the live action gets flushed. That's the most important thing. Their live action shows just don't tend to be all that good compared to even the worst of the animated shows. Second, put more into Toonami. More money. More promotion. More time. Better timeslots. Making it a six-hour run was great and all, but we all know that those last three hours are pretty empty, both in content and in ratings. You wanna make Adult Swim a quality block? Toonami starts at 11, or better still at 9, on Saturday nights. Hell, it would be great to have it every night. Adult Swim was at its best when it had anime on nearly every night, in my opinion. I remember in 2003, weeknights were Futurama, Family Guy, then it went into action, and the action was by far the better part. But that might be a bit much to ask, since Toonami is something of a nostalgia property. I'm actually not going to suggest getting rid of Family Guy, even though I feel hatred beyond measure for it, at least one of its sister shows, and its creator's output in general. Family Guy gets good ratings which are necessary for Adult Swim to keep going at all, it's not live action, it's significantly more coherent than some of the more "stoner-friendly" parts of the lineup... It's still trash, but Adult Swim right now is so bad that Family Guy comes out looking good in comparison to some of the stuff.
Also, give us more of The Venture Brothers, The Boondocks, and Metalocalypse... And that Black Dynamite show, that was pretty good too. Adult Swim's original comedy hasn't been entirely without merit. Robot Chicken is pretty decent too, in my opinion.
