Anybody else been as inspired by him over the years as I have? He has completely changed my life and helped me learn and live.. If you've never listened or heard of him highly recommend him! He died in 2010 I believe about a year after he released his final cd By The Throat his other albums were in order First Born/ The Many Faces of Oliver Hart or How Eye Won the Write to Think/ E&A/ and By The Throat.
very philosophical and inspiring music..
"I'm here for you, in the same way that you're here for me
Each person in an intricate piece of infinite
I feel like if you could see what I see
Then we as humanity could be free
I'm here for you, not for any self centered reasons
Because existence is interdependent and all's related,
Connected as different manifestations of one single mind
You ain't isolated from the world even though it feels like that sometimes"

I understand, I rap myself and produce beats and I enjoy poetry and narrative music more then music with out lyrics.
he has a line "people become less interested when a microphone an instrument"
and "it's funny how the whole story can be told through a guitar riff"
covered every topic known to man, thanks for the time to read and respond though brotha! much respect
Eyedea was a goddamn beast and By The Throat was probably one of the best albums to ever come from the Rhymesayers Collective. It's a shame to see talent go so soon but he definitely did his part for minnesota hip-hop.
Because I know only stupid people increase the birth rate
I'm just about dumb enough to hold up a sperm bank
