then i was mislead in my original purchase.. but at the same time i guess that does not get to me because if they ever took it from me, id simply re-purchase it

Turning the supporter into something that would affect level stats would make it more of a membership thing than a supporter. I like the concept because it just shows that you're willing to donate money to support a website that you know and love. Hell, I'd buy the supported badge even if it didn't remove ads.

i originally tired to get one in "pre-release" phase but had shop conformation issues.

i got mine on the 1st of jan as it seemed the most logical time to buy and renew it.

as for "making it do more stuff" why should it?... your showing your support... not paying for added features (well your not getting ad's any more... so you could say your getting less :D)

I already posted this on the first page, but you can't. The only difference between the 2012 and 2013 version is the badge color on your purchase list, nothing else.

A few extra bonuses would be cool but there shouldn't be anything, such as the voting power boost, that makes people feel they have to be a supporter. I hate sites that put you at some disadvantage just because you're not paying to use the site.

Bahh, I bought a second supporter upgrade at the end of december. Now I feel robbed because I gotta catch 'm all.

Good thing 25 bucks is not much for supporting a great website like this.

It is not very common, we Germans prefer to pay in Goldtalern, with debit cards or via PayPal. Getting a Credit Card only to pay 25$ once.. is too much of an effort. :/

I always use a debit card for NG store. A mastercard one I bought in a bank and recharged by need with online banking. So no excuse man, go support your motherland!
