Text not showing up when i publish?

I'm currently working on a small flash animation and i have a piece of paper within the animation with writing on it. However, whenever i publish my movie, the text isn't visible, does anyone know how to solve this issue?

I'm working on Flash 8 btw ( Yes i know, flash 8)

hey flash 8 was the best version. click on the text and make sure it's a static text box

hmm. it should be okay then. you can send me the FLA if you want me to take a look

Try selecting the text and clicking modify>break apart. This should make it a graphic instead of text.

You have to break it apart twice so that it's no longer text.

You have to break it apart twice so that it's no longer text.

this isn't really a good practice though. he can do it here if it gets it to work, but i wouldn't make a habit of it. also wouldn't explain WHY it's not showing up.

oh jeez i completely forgot one thing. open the character window, click Embed, then say "All"

this was a bug flash had with bold fonts and it got worse from there.
