I've been here since '08 (multiple accounts) and have not noticed much of a drop in quality of forum content. Yet some people say there has been. What do you think? Has this forum degraded in quality?

I genuinely don't think that the quality of the boards has lessens. Its the drop of activity that is much more damaging and only serves to highlight those bad threads even more.

I've been here since '05, I come back periodically to check up. Take it from me, this forum has dropped immensely in quality and content. I don't think I'll ever come back. I'll probably program a spam bot just to fuck with current users too.

Yeah this time last year it was as boring as hell since it was on the boring-bad kind of quality but now its on the amusingly-bad kind of quality so its better even though its worse.

Also if I want to post in a quality place id visit /tg/ all the time and never the ng bbs, but theres almost always around 2 or 3 fairly interesting threads around usually among the amusingly bad dung in this forum which makes it woth visiting for me.

It's always been the same, the longer you are here the easier it is to see the posting patterns that occur and when a new cycle is beginning.

Ugh, this topic again.
I'm sure you think this needs saying and you're trying to help, but it's more like a monthly report where people attempt to pinpoint a problem, but no action is ever taken to remedy them.

I see no point seeing this topic come and go, then be remade a few weeks or a month later.
If you think there's a problem with General, it's up to you to make the threads you like and participate, rather than watching the place rot. The users in the other NG forums know this, I don't know why General doesn't.
