Making animations - profits via ads

Hey folks,

I created an account way back when in 2003, I did a few 3D animations back-when, then went to college and stopped the whole thing. Well, now that I'm all done, I would like to continue where I left off and start doing flash cartoons again as well as games.

I wanted to know through you guys and your experiences, how much on average does a person make via Newgrounds per animation, if, like lets say it does well or hits the front page.

I suppose the same could go for the games section too.

Any advice would be great. I want to gear towards this medium, I have a tiny crew with me that can produce this, so this is why I'm curious to know.

let's say you hit #1, get 1mil+ views, and are daily feature. you stand to make about 8 bucks

That number does not seem correct =P

If you're looking to monetise - you may feel that Youtube is considerably more lenient and can earn you a few extra dollars for your effort.

I only have a small experience with Youtube really (Maybe around 300-500k views and a maybe 1,500 subscribers over several channels) but it appears to be about £1/2 per 1,000 views - which can vary a lot

I'd suggest going with that in addition to posting here - can't exactly hurt your cash flow

I basically went on an 8-year hiatus from making content for Newgrounds because of college. Now that I'm done, I've been eagerly wanting to return to Newgrounds and create content again with a whole new skill-set.

...wow I just looked at the link and those earnings made me go cross-eyed haha. It's not like I'll be earning anywhere near that but it's nice that they're able to make some nice pocket change over it ;)

Wow! that is pretty flabbergasting, but i suppose the more platforms you are apart of the better.
