Well, Team Fortress does technically have three installments. The Quake mod, Classic and now Hat Fortress, as I like to call it.

Yes because it is a terrible thing for game companies not to milk every little bit of story from their games!

It is good that Valve still remains to show that you don't need to make 10 Halo or Call of Duty games which haven't changed since day 1 to make money. More companies need to stop making useless sequels.

Only problem with that is there's obviously a high demand for these trilogies and they're missing out on ALOT of money. How do expect to maintain money to make games if you keep ignoring your major AAA games that got you where you are in the first place. I know they're latest IP portal was successful but could it replace Half-life, left 4 dead or Team Fortress?

Yeah, no. The Quake mod is a mod for Quake, whereas Classic is a mod for Half-Life. Look it up.
