Why would you want to? Smoking from a pipe is much better than using a joint.
In situations when you don't have your device to smoke out of, you'll thank jesus that papers are easy to obtain and extremely cheap. Plus, j's are a bit easier to conceal and transport than devices. I dunno, i feel like there are a lot of reasons to try and learn the skill. Rolling is a lot of fun one you learn how to do it, kinda like driving standard.
OP, as stated before, you'll definitely get better at rolling the more you do it, pretty much like almost every activity in life ever. You may develop your own rolling technique if others just don't seem right to you. I find that using small rolled cardboard filters at the tip of one side makes your joint easier to hit. I also personally like to have my joints fairly tight but just a little loose, not loose enough it canoes and doesn't cherry but just enough so that you can get some airflow from within the joint.
There are various tricks that you can do with rolling, such as using a card, to help roll the papers against the product more snugly. Youtube or google can probably explain this trick better than i could.
