I would say try to mess a lot with massive because u can create some nice basses in there like this one

Sounds like either FM8 or massive going into an analog subharmonic booster. And a lot of frequency shifting.

Nothing Compressor + Peak Controller combination can't do, and a little ohmicide with some skillfull use of gross beat.

The drop on this track wouldn't HAVE to be NI or Massive as most people suggest, I've heard a similar sound on a lot garage/ bassline tunes, definitely sounds like FM synthesis with a lowpass filter though. Massive would be the funnest way to get that tune IMHO.

Other ways exist. If you want a flawless, random problem free experience, legit's the safest way though, but, if you can't be good, be safe.
