3.93 / 5.00 4,634 ViewsI'm working on my first animation to be submitted here in newgrounds. I'm having a problem with my first scene. There is this logo of a restaurant that is zoomed in slowly and after some time a person passes by covering the logo (well, not entirely).
Here's the problem: The person's movement is too choppy.
It's strange since the zooming in movement on the logo looks smooth enough. I tried both classic and motion tweening but no avail. I do not know what other things to do since I'm more of an artist (drawing characters, etc.) than an animator. Need help please...
first thing id suggest is you place the swf in the NG dump and link it here so we can get a clear image of what's exactly happening.

it doesn't look choppy to me. sometimes slow zooms get a bit wonky in flash. what i'd suggest is finishing out the scene then see if you still have problems. and always remember to test drive your film in high and low qualities. sometimes chop and other issues are caused by a busy scene and swf's are purely processor driven

Ah, you're right. I checked it in different qualities and it does look smooth in low and medium quality. I also noticed that even in high quality, movement is smooth when the window is sized smaller. Hmm.. I guess its my processor or perhaps the other programs running in the background. Thank you very much! :3
