I'm kind of upper lower class. I don't want to be rich though, having a lot of money gets people to know you, and is also a way to give people motives to rob you.
If you have never made me angry you deserve a medal, if you've never made me laugh you're an inanimate object or Jay Leno.

makes you considerably richer than the average person. If you were 'poor as fuck', you wouldn't live there.
Not yet. One day I plan to be a multibillionaire writer/producer though.
We'll see how that goes...
I'm the type of lower middle class. I work 2 jobs $20/hour on system admin and $23.5 on software testing because I'm still a part time college student and my life is very relaxing. Saving isn't just the way to keep myself well fed. I invest portions of my savings in stock and gold marketing, which these keep my money grows to good.
i guess my parents are pretty well off, making me "rich" in a sense

if it don't make dollars then it don't make sense
At 1/9/13 02:22 AM, citricsquid wrote: This is the part that makes no sense. $450,000 is enough money that you will have a financial advisor, nobody has $450,000 in the bank and doesn't have a financial advisor. A financial advisor would help you get good returns on your capital without risking it (even if that's just a basic savings account, or some very safe investments). Saying you're someone that knows the value of every single dollar and works for it even when you don't need to but then only having $450,000 cash in a bank account because it's "really dumb to keep it stored in my house" is nonsensical, you would have that money making money.
Huh, I've never thought about getting a financial adviser, I just assumed I could let it stay in the bank and accumulate its fancy little 6% interest rate. My insurance insures that up to 1,000,000 dollars can be refunded to me in the case that the bank fails, or a massive heist/ embezzlement takes place.
I think I might look for a guy to do this stuff for me

I just always assumed financial advisers were for people who were actually rich

You don't need one. As in YOU.
hell no
but sometimes I don't know, because there are definitely people worse and definitely people a LOT better. It's one of those weird things in England - you get mansions next door to all the really poor people.
drinking is a great way to stay hydrated . . . i recommend drinking several times a day

Yes I am rich. How you many ask?
I save and invest my money properly.
Wow, how stupid can a human being be?
my rent is 16,000 a month and i barely eat any food.
Rich? No, but I reckon I do have quite some money for someone of my age and in my living situation (full time university student). I've never been a big spender and thanks to my side job there's a lot more money coming in than there's going out.
However, I do realise that it might be a lot now, but once I stop renting and start buying a house it'll be gone in a snap.

You don't have to make much money when you don't have many bills to pay. I have lived off of $400 for the past three months. I know how to stretch that dough.

Yeah I want to have a decent amount saved up before I leave, so I'm hoping I'll be moving out by summer. My problem is I keep spending my money to buy things I won't use until after I move out because I'm afraid I won't be able to afford it after I move out. Which is making it take longer for me to save money, lol.
things like dishes, pots and pans, silverware, etc.
