Peeling bananas

This is usually shown in the usual iconic action of peeling down the top, leaving a clean opening which is then repeated twice to have three strips dangling from the banana. But do your bananas ever follow suit with this action? I find over half of mine always fail to peel from the top, and instead the starting bending action of the stem suits to split open a part further down which is then used to peel away leaving the stem unbroken to begin with. Does this tend to happen to others also or is it just me which gets this "failed" peel so often?

It works but it's useless unless you want a completely un skinned banana. Edges make the skin fall off too easily while eating.

I've always been terrible at peeling bananas. Most of the time, I end up crushing it while trying to open it. I think I only had one clean peel in my life.

I rarely eat bananas though.

There needs to be a thing that you squeeze that gives a clean cut around the banana skin. I would buy it and I'm sure it already exists.

Turn the banana upside-down and open it by pinching the bottom part.
Monkeys do it this way.
You will be surprised at how easily it splits open.

I open bananas by breaking them in two and peeling them from the inside. Only problem with this method is that it leaves you with two banana halves.

any banana i've ever peeled has ended up with 3/4 skin on one side with the remainder on the other, it's makes the thing super heavy and unbalanced and impossible to eat without swallowing it whole.

They are not, if you feel the texture yourself it is not one that is slippery and if anything grips.

I hate peeling bananas. When this give me trouble I take a knife to them and cut of the top.

This. It is sooo much easier. I don't know what the hell made us ever try doing it the other way.

When I just want to eat one, I peel it from the top. When I want to use it for deepthroat practice, I cut the end of the very bottom, and peel from the bottom up.

I usually smack the banana around, hit it with a hammer, and then proceed to peel if with a butcher knife.
