Took a look at his iTunes library.
Only one song.
Linkin Park - In The End
Over 100,000 plays.

I don't think it's such a bad song. It's a lot better than the other shit crawling in the music industry. This hate for Linkin Park seems to be less connected to the actual music and those who listen to it on a stereotypical level.

You're making more and more sense. I didn't think I was gone that long. Well again... I find myself agreeing with you. Although I don't care for In The End. I find myself enjoying their more somber songs, like Waiting For The End.

Wait, he only had that one song, and played it over 100,000 times? What the fuck?!

But...wha...how does.....huh?
I can't....really....describe my confusion and disappointment right now.

Confusion as to how that is even physically possible.
Disappointment because it was Linkin Park.

I personally enjoy the lyrics of In The End, I especially like how it says ''It doesn't matter how hard you try. Everything falls apart and eventually becomes a memory.'' That part has always stuck inside my head because they aren't shitty lyrics and do possess a message. However, the one song from Linkin Park I really enjoy ''Breaking The Habit''. The lyrics are surreal and aren't typical generic HEY,hey, hey -- baby, baby, baby.

Yeah Linkin Park's lyrics are wonderful. At times though I don't care for the melody or the actual music itself. It is better than most music out there today. Still a bit off subject, for someone to have just one song, played over 100,000 times. There are more songs.

That's assuming that he only listens to music from his Itunes. He may listen to other music on other programs or other sources like Youtube. It's probable for him to only download one song. 100,000 isn't much, either. I'm assuming the song is 3 minutes at average. There is 1440 minutes in a day. If he leaves it on for countless hours, the 100k limit could be hit in a little under a year. So we really don't know all of the details. I honestly couldn't imagine a mere human resorting to a level of repetition like this. The OP is trolling or the details aren't clear.

That's my whatever sense on this subject.

Someone on my last.fm has 200k+ Billy Talent plays so I believe it is possible. I would think they leave it on repeat without listening most of the time though.

Exactly. It's just a fad to hate on them like everything else. Circlejerkery abounds.

Plus, it's a great song. This scenario, however, is pathetic. I hate singles and listening to just singles and number 1 hits. It's fucking lame.

Because (serious) musicians make albums, not singles. Since everyone has different taste, it could turn out that someone likes "album songs" more than singles. Why limit yourself to the tip of popularity when you can enjoy more of the same music?

Because music is merely opening a window of experiences that comes from within?

Unlikely.
3:40 = 220 seconds * 100,000 listens = 22,000,000 seconds / 60 = 3,666,666 minutes / 60 = 6,111 hours / 24 = 254.6 days

God I loved that song as a teen and still find it very enjoyable.

Good taste. Loved catching the video on tv too. The blonde guy looked very good in it.

He's probably just stalking a girl that likes that song or listened to it with him or something like that.

Linkin Park is the other shit crawling in the music industry. It's metal that's been adapted to be radio friendly. Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold, Justin Beiber, it doesn't really matter. It's the same shit.
