It can be a console, or even the little things like, i dunno the design of a console like the sega genesis, that looks awesome! Anyway, the game that got me into gaming was Sonic the hedgehog 2, the console that impressed e a lot was the snes, which is how i got killer instinct as my first game, then my brother got a genesis and i preferred a blue hedgehog over a fat plumber. How about you though?

i was a little kid in the 90's and my parents had a nice amount of money and didn't really want to parent me.
simple as that.
I used to play video games a lot as a kid. I would go over to my brother's friend's house and play Halo and WWE and Pokemon and all that at their house. My friend also had a PS1 and PS2 so we used to play games on them too. I hardly ever play video games anymore. I wouldn't call myself a gamer because I've never owned a playstation or anything. I used to have a GBA and GBC when I was 7, but my mum sold them, and I used to have a Nintendo DS Lite but it broke. -_-

I got a Game boy for like, my 5th birthday. The downward spiral started there.
Pokemon Gold was my first ever game, and I played it a lot, so I suppose that got me into gaming.

The old arcade games that came with my IBM XT and Apple II computers, and the brand new NES I got for my birthday.
My grandparents got me the NES when I was 5.
.
I played some PS1 games and PS2 on my aunt's PS2. I remember the days of sneaking on to play GTA III. Then my friend showed me websites like Andkon and I was hooked to online flash games and the PS consoles.
probably the Wii. I was never playing the PS2/PS3 & i don't own a Xbox so Wii had a Wii.The Wii made me a ultimate gamer. And that's how
chaos GAMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not really too sure what made me ask for a video game console one Christmas. Probably because when I was really, really young my Dad won a Sega Mega Drive and I sort of remember always wanting to play it but never getting much of a chance before he sold it. Then I'd say when I was about 5 I asked for a console one Christmas. I remember looking in the Argos catalogue and pointing out a console that I simply remember referring to as "the black one", so I'm going to assume it was a Mega Drive. But I think my Mum insisted that some other one was better and that's how I ended up with a PS1. I started with Rayman and now I have some 600 video games in my possession.
The Gameboy Colour would have been the next system I got and Pokemon Yellow was probably what really got me into gaming. That was such an awesome game back in the day.

That would probably be Super Mario 64, when I was two or three years old.
Hello.
I have been playing games since I was about 4 years old. I would play Tekken 3 with my older brother. What really started it off was a game that is a rip-off of Resident Evil. Done by the same company, Capcom, the only different thing about it was it exchanged zombies, with Dinosaurs.. Dino Crisis 2. This was the game that started my passion for games.
I am lovin' me some Retro Haze .
The Super nintendo Got me into video games and The Donkey Kong Country games were pretty amazing back then, Sort of dissapointing that all it could possibly take marely a 2 hours of a day without finding of all of the Dk Tokens and secrets to 101% which is the main challenge, just Breezing through makes them seem so easier compared to when you were dying constantly trial and error when it were new
Sonic of course then when games started there early transition to 3D I had to play EVERYTHING. I miss how exhilerated I was when I was growing up with gaming everything just felt so new and a must play. Damn you personal preferences.

My father had me playing his Atari and some stuff on his computer when I was like 3 or 4 years old. But I really got into games when my sister got a Sega Genesis.

My brothers, I watched them play stuff and then played them myself afterwards.

Well ever since I was a little kid playing on the NES I always have thought games are the ultimate form (as of yet) of entertainment.

The arcade that was really close to my house called Funstation. I used to go in there with my whole family when I was 3 years old. It closed down a few years later but, not before it grew a love of video games within me. Starting gaming at the arcades I think shaped my view of game design as I believe in developing shorter and harder games.
I had game boys and a Game Gear when I was a kid but It was the original GTA that got me really interested. I remember I was quite young, around 9 I think when I saw my sisters boyfriend at the time playing it on the original Playstation. Despite being young my mother was fairly laid back and trusted me enough to watch the game and not be brainwashed by it's violence. I was amazed by it and watched him play other games like Fighting Force, Fifa 97, Tekken and then started playing them and more kid friendly games myself and it grew from there.

The first video game I ever played was Super Mario World for the Super Nintendo when I was 4-Years Old. When I got to be 5 Years Old I got Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and fell in love with it. Then when I was 6-Years Old I got Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for Christmas. Super Mario RPG and Yoshi's Island were the two games that really got me into gaming. Then the Nintendo 64 came out in 1996 and I got one for Christmas in 1998 along with Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Mario Party. This is what cemented me as a gamer.
Watching my brothers play this massive collection of games on the Sega Genesis and Dreamcast and Playstation. Even as young as three they'd let me mess around with the controller and I guess that's what I'd say got me hooked. Then obviously I got older could actually understand what I was supposed to do and the rest is history.
"On rainy days, I just sit there and make deals with the devil. The fun never ends..."
My parents got me a SNES whenever I was around two or three and somehow even at that age I became addicted. Once I finally beat Yoshi's Island right before I turned five it was fully settled in.
