It's a custom Potato Brew recipe I got from my grandpa. It's very bitter but the alcohol content is usually between 12-14% so I can't really complain.

Nothing.omg, what's in your fermenter?
I'm all out of booze and my next batch of home brew won't be ready for another 5 days.
Drinking some Heady Topper, myself.
Here's a pic of the first batch of beer I made with the home brew kit I got last Christmas. It was a simple wheat recipe but still very good.
Yeah, I'd guess the abv on that would be high. I've never even thought to mash in with potatoes, but I'd imagine it would make for a pretty high original gravity with all those starches. Hope it comes out good.
If you think you'll be brewing for a while to come, I can't recommend a kegerator and a couple 1/6th kegs enough. Bottles are such a pain in the ass, between cleaning, sanitizing, filling, conditioning, capping every friggin bottle. It's really nice just pouring into a keg and force carbonating for a few days and then having fresh homebrew on tap. Less opportunity for infections, too.
