Nah, Newgrounds will always be cooler than Facebook because at its heart, it is Everything By Everyone, not just a social network. The new NG Social thing doesn't make much of a difference for me because I very rarely connect with people who I've never actually met in person, but it's a good idea to add it because why not? Also because not adding something like that would probably mean becoming outdated.

yeah, and a lit portal would be nice, I think the chat system like that would really slow the site down though, make it a lot easier to spam.

Seeing how Newgrounds has always endorsed their "community" aspect of the site, I was surprised this didn't come sooner.
I still think we need some sort of "feed" or "wall" for the people we follow. I mean, every block on frontpage has this button, except your favorites.
And the little star thingy does not replace it. It's still limited. I want a never ending page to scroll down on.
