Quick and easy job offer! Fast $50! 2012-12-15 17:45:13 Reply

If this is in the wrong place, or I'm not allowed to post jobs here, please let me know. I saw that job offers were encouraged in the Programming forum, but it didn't say anything about Flash so I hope I'm allowed to do this.

Anyway, if there is some ActionScript 2.0 who is looking for quick cash, read on:

I have a project made in Flash (it is almost entirely done) using ActionScript 2.0 but I am having issues getting buttons to work.

I have several scenes I need to be connected to one another by buttons, and a "jukebox" scene, where there are 13 or so buttons; each needs to play a song when clicked. The buttons already exist, I just don't know enough about Flash to make the ActionScript work and I am running out of time.

You will be provided with a .zip folder with all necessary sound and image files. I will pay you $25 down and $25 when it is completed, via PayPal.

The only catch is that I need this done quickly, in 1-2 days.

If you are interested, please post here or send me a message. I'm desperate!

generally, you'd want the Collab Forum

also, any programmer worth their salt will program in AS3, not AS2 - there is a very good reason for this.

PM me (instead of MintPaw) if you're confuzzled.

random fact of the day:
the phrase "worth your salt" comes from the roman empire, in which salt was such a rare commodity that it was often used as a form of currency. Roman soldiers were actually paid in salt!

this fact brought to you by Boxelder Job Corps - Culinary Arts division.

I know that AS2 is major bullcrud, but I've got what I've got. Think I should ask a mod to move this thread?

just hire a programmer to make it from scratch.
Also, mods don't have tools to move threads. You should read the rules ;)

You should really stop being AS2-phobic. AS2 does have OOP, and you can write beautiful code in AS2 too. Any programmer worth their salt should be able to program in either language just as well should the job require it.

Besides, he needs this done in a day or two, I don't think finding someone to do the whole thing from scratch is going to be very easy.

I found the fact about "worth their salt" interesting though!

cyborgue, if you haven't found anyone, feel free to PM me. It sounds like it wouldn't take a few minutes to do.

Fair enough, I just wanted to make sure that he's getting the best possible outcome.

Thanks, I did, too. One of the many, many things I learned while at JC.

Also, wrote this with my tablet. It's actually quite painful to do so, regardless of touch screen size.

Thank you both (and you, Egg82!) but I was able to find someone on the DA forums last night and they took care of it in a few minutes. I really appreciate the responses; I should hang around this place more, since the community seems to be really receptive to us know-nothings. Could be a lifesaver in the future.

Thanks again!
