The new feature has arrived!

Ladies and Gentlemen... and everyone in-between... we proudly present Newgrounds Social!

Currently, this feature is simply a proper way to add and organize friendships. We will slowly be integrating these friend lists into various features across the site.

The first feature we integrated it with was our API. Once you get a friend or two on your list, check out any game that uses our high score tables, or offers user-generated content that your friends have been playing and you will see you can filter the in-page items to only show stuff posted by your friends.

To get started, go play these:

the friend system is more than a friend system. I'm pretty sure they created it for fun competition between friends(look at first post).

also if NG was turning into facebook, then you would have to pay to promote each newspost, you dont see that happening right?

I noticed another feature, I believe it was added today too. You can see the smiley face on the reply of a thread when you look at an user's "all posts"!

Although my initial response was "okay, how is this much different from favorites?", I do think this could be a good tool for collaborators who want to maintain a list of contacts that reside on Newgrounds. Being able to organize your contacts is a nice addition too.

This, and also I feel like everyone that thinks newgrounds is turning into facebook is thinking of the BBS as the entirety of the site. I'm fairly sure the point is mostly to add people and compare high scores and shit.
