Xenoblade Chronicles is hands down the best game I've played this year. In fact one of the best that I've played any year.

Borderlands 2, though I give some points to BF3 for all the DLC.

Except for its bugs ive got to give to Assassins creed 3. Not really into first person shooters even though I do play them from time to time.

Been quite a few good ones this year but nothing I've played has even come close to Hotline Miami. I don't remember loving a game so much since elementary school

I still haven't played anything from 2012 apart from demos, but Dragon's Dogma is very promising. We'll see when I get it for Christmas. The only problem I can foresee having is the lack of fast travel, which is a terrible thing for such a large open world game.

Oh wait, I played that. That was awesome. I loved playing as the guy with the axe.

i think a worthy mention for fighting games would be virtua fighter 5 final showdown only problem with the game to me is it is
not available in disc format. And last for stealth games dishonored just because of the replay value.

Definitely Borderlands 2 for me. Most fun I've had playing any game as of recent.

I liked Dragon's Dogma alot, but it's a three way tie between The Walking Dead, Journey, and To The Moon.
