If Justin Bieber created songs that didn't just solely appeal to tweenage heartthrobs he wouldn't get an ounce of the hate he does.

I figure that the bandwagon disgust for him is on exactly the same principles as everyone hates that douche with the guitar who just plays it to get chicks, but unlike said douche this kid is actually really fucking talented. I don't think the hate has anything to do with his look or his hobbies or his talent, it's just the subject matter that he chooses that pisses everyone off.

I see your point of view, he is talented, my reason which you described that all his songs are a way to get girls attention and are based on them. You're tooting your own horn. His lyrics are crap, his music is over-produced, his voice is annoying. This has nothing to do with Homestuck, and it adds to the obnoxiousness (of a different kind) after seeing the ten thousandth goddamned Bieber thread on some forum or another. To call what he does "music" is really generous. I can't wait for him to crash and burn with the aid of drugs and alcohol, and the mere utterance of his name is accompanied with the same eye-rolling that we give Lindsey Lohan whenever she's in the news.

I went through a period of active hatred towards the Biebs like everyone else, but that shit got exhausting fast. He's a disposable pop star already nearing his sell-by date. He'll be gone and forgotten in a few years, and his music and life are hardly substantial enough to be worth talking about now. Whatever.
