I love meat and honestly don't care about animals that were specifically bred and raised for food.
I respond to every message!
if everyone had to kill a chicken, pig or cow every time they wanted to make some sandwhiches, they probably wouldnt all want to eat meat.

Initially, yes. But eventually the many who still wanted the smell of a barbecue, just not the slaughter, would just pay someone else to do it for them. Some time after that, businesses looking to capitalize on this demand would start huge "slaughter-houses" and with readily available pre-packaged meat we're right back where we started.
If I had to grind up some fucking wheat every time I wanted to make some bread I'd probably take it easy on the sandwiches, too.
Didn't scientists discover that fruit communicate with one another, and when cut into they scream?

According to cracked, A diet consisting of high-fiber and low fat intake lowers testosterone levels and leads a lanky posture, like many hippies, and a diet consisting of high protein also fucks with your hormones. If this is true, Then humans are are made to have to consume both vegetables and meat.
So what, if they get scared? Do bears give a fuck when they rape a trout? Do lions give a fuck when they force themselves upon an antelope? Besides, society would run rampant with too much animals if we didn't eat them, if we didn't eat them we'd still have to curb their population, as they're doing with kangaroos in Australia, and other countries who implement hunting seasons
animals are stupid, smell bad, make a mess etc
they deserve to be eaten
if it is a gigantic horrible typo mah bad
Say to me an easy form of killing animals whitout making them suffer.
Then i will be a vegetarian.
Get yourself a life. Leave me alone.
It's one of those subjects where if you step back and analyse the facts it's pretty atrocious, the meat industry operates a genocide of animals every day. I guess because I couldn't personally kill any of the animals I'd eat I can't really justify doing it.
Why didn't you make a thread about how much unhealty are Mc denalds instead of annoying us with this (like another bunch of people), OP?
A wild lurker appeared!
Vegetarianism is known to cause severe levels of self-righteousness and an inability to care when you're doing something morally wrong because the vegetarianism supposedly "makes up" for it.
Pretty much everything you eat had to die at some point. Even the most strictly vegetarian farms end up killing at least 20 animals a year in farming accidents. That's not even getting into the fact that those same farms are almost always owned by the same people who own meat processing plants, so either way you're giving the meat industry your money.
To attempt to "go vegan" as to not "harm animals" is a banal idea. Rooted only in a naive fantasy.

Reduce your meat intake, I believe we eat way too much meat in our diet. Way more than what is required.
Sustainability is the true issue. We are shooting ourselves in the foot by taking way too much land for livestock and fish from the sea.

This right here is complete shit with no scientific basis.
If you do not buy organic vegetables, fruits and so forth you can easily expose yourself to GMO(genetically modified organism) and pesticides. Most GMOs are not labeled.
This is also complete garbage, "organic" food is no better for you than processed food, and the term "GMO" is little more than a fear-mogering buzzword.

So if I ate vegetarians I'd get meat AND more vitamin B?

Because if we were adapted for eating plants, we'd have a functioning appendix.
Meat = Murder
Eating meat = Getting rid of Murder
Everything we eat used to be alive.
So unless we start eating chemicals made in a lab, we will always be committing murder with each bite.

but plants don't SUFFER
animals cry tiny invisible tears as they are chopped up into patties are you are sitting at your pc FAT AS HELL and not caring
You are the worst fucking kind of person
You don't care about how animals are killed or anything, you just want to look special and feel superior, and the way I can tell is because not only do you stand out by making a thread about being a vegetarian, but you then continue to make yourself feel superior by trying to make eating meat look useless and barbaric

Humans are able to live without meat by way of varying their diet to include plants which have the same as or even greater amounts of vitamin B in them compared to meat, with often beneficial health effects.
Meat, on the other hand, greatly harms the ecosystem, and also leads to increased cholesterol levels, and many different types of cancer.
So, NGers, why aren't y'all vegetarians yet?
There's a certain balance that you should have of meat which is very beneficial to one's health, and is particularly beneficial to someone that is growing.
As far as the cruelty part goes, I do agree and I feel terrible whenever I think about it, but you have to realize that other animals kill each other for food too. It's a natural tendency for most organisms I guess...

Uh, no, it's natural for any animal that eats meat, and humans are omnivores, hence eating meat and all the other stuff is important

I assume you're agreeing with my general point but disagreeing with the tentativeness of it.

It's assholes like you that make me hate myself for eating meat. I'd like to see you say the same thing if you were bred and raised for food.

Well, being that humans taste terrible, I doubt I'd ever be in that kind of situation as a human, and if I was a cow, well no one would really care because I'd be a cow
There are some situations were you should care greatly for animals, and some situations where animals are nothing more than consumables. This is a situation where they're just consumables.

This is probably the most ignorant thing I've heard. What makes one life more important over another life? Every life has the same amount of feelings and should be cared for equally. Basically you're saying that if I'm unlucky enough to be born as an organsim that tastes good, then oh well.

If that's the case, we should protest against farmers genetically enhancing plants and drowning them in pesticides. It is impossible to grow tomatoes in the wild due to how much we fucked them up. Hell, why not just live off photosynthesis?

Any species that isn't intelligent is sub-par.
Yes, that is correct. I am saying that any animal that is of less intelligence, is inferior to humans. Because of their inferiority, humans have literally taken over the planet. We require mass amounts of food to feed all of us, and meat is a necessity. Because we need mass amounts of meat, we don't have the time, space, or money to treat every single cow, chicken or pig like animal-royalty. Cruelness is apart of the world, and you're living in a fantasy if you think there's a way to prevent it.

My diet was hardly strictly regulated or managed, I just liked healthy foods and ate the things I liked. I was aware of what kinds of foods were important to eat. But it's just the same as on a meat-eating diet. A vegetarian or meat eater can eat garbage and be unhealthy. Or they can eat good nutritious foods and be healthy. No extra work really.
I could bench my body weight, I gave blood, I had high iron levels in my blood, I was totally healthy without that much effort.
Bottom line, humans were made to be able to consume plants and animals. We function just fine on a plant-based diet and do not NEED meat to survive, but for the most part we choose to eat it because it tastes good and provides nutrients. End. Quit criticizing each other, each person does what is right for him.
