Inkscape... Help!!!

Inkscape... Help!!! 2012-11-29 20:52:06 Reply

Yeah, so I just made my first piece of work through Inkscape & as I go to save my wonderful creation I see that the only way to save is with .svg files. Does anyone know any other way to save your work without a converter?

That is weird, when I go to 'File -> Save As...' I can pick several options from the drop down menu below the filename bar. There is also "File -> Export bitmap" but I am not sure about the settings you'd have to choose in the window that appears when I click that.

Yeah, I just got it saved as a .png
Now for whatever reason I can't seem to upload on NG's I keep getting the error message... what the heck?!

Well unfortunately this could be because of a variety of reasons. What browser are you using? Does another browser solve the problem? I guess you are not exceeding the filesize or dimension limits are you? What does the error say?

I dunno why or how that works, but for some people it appeared to solve the problem when they resaved the file under a different name or a different location (folder) on their computer.
