How are ad impressions < views?

How are ad impressions < views? Nov. 24th, 2012 @ 10:36 PM Reply

I am trying to understand the newgrounds ad system and from my understanding (I might be wrong so please correct me if I am) an impression is a view on an ad. So if this is true (and again I am not sure it is) how is it that my game has about 3,000 views but only 50 ad impressions?

I think you have to have a minimum number of views before ad impressions start counting up. I noticed that none of my videos below 3000 views have earned anything, but all of them over 3000 have. Coincidence?

No, I have another game up that has less than 2,000 views (it's kinda sad) but still has around 50 impressions. Can someone please explain this please?

Impressions are unique views. As in, 50 ad impressions means 50 different people have viewed it.

2 people watching a movie 100 times each counts as 2 ad impressions.

Anyway the revenue system is kind of bugged out at the moment, so that might explain the extreme impression:view ratio.

Weird,
anyways, the view count may include bots, crawlers and page reloads?
ad blockers and NG Supports don't provide you ad revenue.
