a female suit of armour 2012-11-24 19:19:17 Reply

I want to see what a feminine looking suit of armour would look like. I mean like the "knight in shining armour" type of armour. I want to see a suit of armour that makes the wearer look invincible but also makes the wearer look clearly female.

Please put protection as your top priority when designing the suits of armour. It needs to offer just as much protection and cover as much parts as any male counterparts while still showing that the wearer is female.

So does anybody have any ideas about how a female looking suit of armour could look like?

historically, exactly the same, not even gonna lie, it was a very rag tag sorta deal back then, you got what you were given, and what you were given was what the blacksmith could make which depended from blacksmith to blacksmith, they wouldn't mold the breastplate any differently because that takes effort, and would cost a bit more gold, and wouldn't change the figure either, because again, effort, they weren't glorified corsets they were very much items used for combat so stylistically they'd be bare bone tin cans.

Try Women Fighters in Reasonable Armor - the artists there have all put a lot of effort into making sure the armor is feasible.

There's also the antithetical blog, Female Fighters in Unreasonable Armor/.

Historically, women didn't wear armour because they didn't get in sword battles.

Historically YES. Females did have armor. Joan of Arc what did she rush out naked? I've actually done reports on this for college blah blah, SO yes its the same as male. After you place the armor padding and belts it hide the form of a body so there are no noticeable differences. A typical thing for female armor like Hilde from Soul Calaber is wrong, where it slopes inward to show off her tits is SO HORRIBLY WONG, not only would sloping in for the boobs make it weaker in the in grave it also slopes in toward their heart making every move the enemy makes whether it be by arrow or sword they will hit her heart by the angle of the shitty ass armor making everything tilted to their hearts.

Now I know no one will just take my word for it, so read up on your own from this guy who makes armor for a living:
