Life probems [not a baw thread]

Anyone else having a shitty night?
Actually, it's been the past few months that have been getting me down.
This isn't a "come feel sorry for me" thread, I'm just posting because well.. really, I've got nothing better to do.

I'm not doing well in school, I'm afraid that I won't get enough credits. I know that's my fault and everything, and I'm owning up for it, so it's not really fair for me to complain about that sense I brought it on myself. Still, it sucks.

The few people I call my friends have completely ignored me he past month or so. They're dating, so they're spending a lot of time together... which is understandable, but there's a point where it's just going overboard. They don't text, call, and I haven't seen them in person for the longest time. It sucks because they're really the only people I can really look at as my friends.

It's the same with my girlfriend (ex, as of last night.) There would be a week or so between every time she'd even say hello to me. My beta self put up with it while she hung out with other guys and didn't even text, or call, and everytime I'd try talking to her in person, I'd get a short, one-word response without her even looking at me. I ended it. I realize I'll get over it and breakups aren't really a big deal at my age, but still. Feels bad man. I guess I'm just saying I'm lonely.

On top of all this, the artist I needed for a long-term project I was really looking forward to starting is backing out. Sucks because she's really good at the art style I need. She's worried about copyright infringement because the drawing style is copied from someone... I keep telling her she's completely safe because art styles are ideas, and ideas can't be copyrighted... Oh well, I can't make her do it, now can I?

I feel the pain, OP. I missed the first quarter of school with pneumonia and got cut from basketball because of it. I didn't mind that because I would have made it, according to them. But I'm slowly catching up on all the piles of missed work. It's all stressful. Plus, the girl that I like has feelings for me but is in a relationship, and I don't want to get in the way of something like that.

Shit happens, man. At least we're not lying in a ditch somewhere.

The only problem I have is a baw one.
All my friends are dating except me.
I have been in a long distance relationship with this girl, possibly the only girl I've actually loved, but she's a few years younger than me, so my parents resented it. I had to dump her on my fucking birthday and it's taken a toll on my sanity.
I met another girl recently. I had feelings for her to say the least. It is/was probably just a little puppy love, but anything to help me move on would be good enough. I hesitated to ask her out, and now she's going out with some guy who I think she hates.

The other day i was with my 14 year old cat by a curb in front of my house, (Which is a VERY small 3 house culdasack), and a car came and almost hit me, and killed my cat right in front of me. Of course the guy stopped driving because there was no way anyways that I was going to let him turn around and pass by me after doing that shit. Going 30MPH in a residential area while I was OBVIOUSLY in the street. The mother fucking could have slowed down. I believe the speed limit for residential areas is 15, am I wrong?(Idk I don't have my license).....But still...it was the worst thing I've EVER experienced in my life.

That's rough, man. I've sorta been in the same boat, but not enough to give an actual good piece of advice. I'm sure you'll feel better in a couple of months, it sounds like a phase that everyone goes through after a long breakup. Things will transition smoothly given time.

THAT'S AWFUL! I WOULD'VE HAVE THROWN A FUCKING COUCH THROUGH HIS WIND-SHIELD! Emoticon related.
And on a side-note, I think you're right about the residential area speed limit. I don't have my license either, but I still think you're right.
