I'm pretty anxious all the time and I think long-ish songs with a nice slow progression helps that. It's pretty easy for a song to make me want to dance or something but it takes a bit to get me to chill and really enjoy the song.

The problem with threads like these is that people rarely bother to quote each other, so there isn't much of a conversation going on. Also that when people leave just a youtube or last.fm link without any information about what's on the other side of it, it makes potential viewers just skip over it entirely.

Anyway yeah, right this second I'm listening to Buckethead - Stretching Lighthouse.

I'd recommend anyone who isn't totally opposed to the sound of an overdriven guitar to check it out, it's a short and beautiful instrumental piece which just speaks volumes to me. Also I can't be held responsible for it making you want to pick up a guitar and learn to play it because it sounds that nice.
