While I worked for Planned Parenthood I visited prisons, jails, and juvenile detention halls to present and discuss sti's/std's, safe tattoos, sexual education, and the aspects of the circle of poverty.
Prison visits by far were the most unnerving; there is absolutely no privacy, you can see everyone doing everything at all times. No matter what part of the prison you're in the walls are grey, it's cold and gloomy, fluorescent lighting is ubiquitous. Even experiencing it as a visitor, I can imagine it's not a fun place to live. Nevertheless, I'm thankful for the opportunities I had to educate the inmates.
