Square Enix makes Kingdom Hearts, not Disney. Disney characters and themes are just in the games, they aren't part of the actual game development.

They haven't "run out of ideas". Any creative professional will tell you that ideas are as fucking cheap as chips. Most artists will tell you that they've got more fucking ideas then they know what to do with.

The problem is that they're a company, and most companies are under the impression that a single misstep will lead to ruin. They're not there to bring you fantastic new works, they're there to make money, and that's exactly what they intend to do, with the safest path available.

Really, we've only got ourselves (as a collective) to blame. We proved that they didn't need to take risks to make money, and as Frank Herbert put it, the safe path only ever leads to stagnation.

I hate that this happening. There are a ton of ideas out there, but Disney is scared to try something new.

Its not even an unofficial Pixar film.
The studio developing the film is DisneyToon Studios, who you probably don't remember, but were the guys behind A Goofy Movie. Since then they've being doing direct to video spinoffs, sequels, all the crap involved with Disney no-one wants to acknowledge. They've been in business a long time.

I saw the thumbnail, and I said "....Nooo..."
I heard White Zombie, and I said "....NOOOOO...."

Why would they bring a song who's intro is "a lady getting fucked and moaning" into a kids movie....

And I saw the P-51 Mustang and I was like "...Ehh, alright...."
Then I heard him scream and sky-write "Cool" and I was like ".......noooo....."
