Anyone else excited for the Rayman Legends demo? It arrives on December 13th, with the game out in February.Hell yeah! I've been a rayman fan since rayman 2, when i saw a sequel on on the wii u with ONLINE play i came! Just one more day, don't delay it and deliver us the demo ubisoft not like your zombi u demo which didn't get released, yet it was announced.
I played a demo of it at gamestop and I must say I hate how the game forces you to use the touch pad.
First I was platforming away as Rayman, running, jumping, having all sorts of fun. Then it integrated some touch screen slingshot stuff and I thought 'oh how nice'
Then the sudden realization that holy fuck im not controlling Rayman.
The game goes from platformer to one man lemmings.
You have to cut bricks, rope, move platforms etc. etc.
I dont want to play as Murphy I want to play as RAYMAN. I want to run though the pit, I want to punch the monster, I want to jump off the walls, why do I have to watch someone else do it while I babysit them?
In fact I was hoping that would be the case, where I can switch roles so that I am rayman. But I couldnt figure out how.
All I hope is these dont happen to often.
Hell even Mario bros. U is like this. There are pits and chasms you couldn't even DARE to cross without creating a fucking platform. The gamepad is good with friends and all but when you use it as an excuse to not finish your game I have a fucking problem. Good level design would be being able to beat the level WITHOUT using the game pad, not making it mandatory to jump a fucking gap.
